O.m.g. Vegan Sundae Brownies.
You’ll definitely be stepping up your vegan dessert game once you make these sweet little treats. Soft brownies, a scoop of vegan ice cream on top, and any of your favourite toppings. These are so good.
I just love chocolate and you can probably tell if you’ve looked at my other recipes because, so far, many of them are chocolate based. Nothing wrong with that in my eyes! So, the chocolate craving is constant and these cute little vegan brownies will do the trick if you are in search of a decadent vegan treat.
Also, it’s totally not required to use vegan ice cream or any toppings. These vegan brownies are just as good on their own without any toppings. It’s just fun sometimes to get creative and make them look all pretty.
However, if you are curious as to what brand of vegan ice cream I used in the pictures it is Tofutti and the flavour is vanilla. There are so many great vegan ice creams out there. Some other brands are So Delicious, Coconut Bliss and some bigger names like Ben & Jerry’s, Breyers and Häagen-Dazs have come out with vegan ice creams as well. So, the possibilities are endless when choosing your toppings :).
This recipe should only take about 30 to 35 minutes in total to make and bake. All you need to do is preheat your oven, get out your muffins pans, mix up all the ingredients to go in the muffin pans and you’re good to go! It’s so easy, quick and delicious.
The recipe makes 15 brownies and you make them in two 12-cup muffin pans. Alternatively, you can halve the recipe if you don’t want to make 15 brownies or you can use a 9 x 13 inch pan and make square brownies if you don’t feel like using two 12-cup muffin pans.
I hope you enjoy this recipe!

Vegan brownies that are soft, delicious and topped with your choice of vegan ice cream and toppings.
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup cacao or cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 1/2 cups maple syrup or agave
- 1 cup oil
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a large bowl, combine flour, cacao, baking powder and salt. This is the dry mixture.
In a separate bowl, combine almond milk (or your choice of plant milk), maple syrup (or agave), oil and vanilla. Pour this mixture into the dry mixture. Mix well.
This recipe makes 15 brownies so you will need to use two 12 cup muffin pans. Lightly grease each muffin cup (sometimes this isn't necessary if you have a good pan) and pour the brownie mixture into each cup. I usually start by using a big spoon and putting about two scoops into each cup. You can fill the cups close to the top.
Once you have all 15 cups filled (or if you halved the recipe just 7-8 cups) place the pans in the oven for about 25 minutes.
They will be ready once you can put a toothpick in a brownie and it comes out clean.
Once the brownies are cooled off remove them from the pans and top with your favourite vegan ice cream, vegan sprinkles, chocolate chips, whatever you like or leave them as is.
The vegan ice cream I used in the pictures is the vanilla Tofutti brand.
