This orange marmalade tofu recipe tastes so good! I have made this recipe so many times and I still love it just as much as the first time I made it.
A different take on tofu giving it some extra flavour with spices and orange marmalade.
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1 package firm or extra firm tofu
- oil to heat up the frying pan
- 1/4 cup orange marmalade
- 1 tbsp lime juice
Combine the salt, garlic powder, paprika, pepper, onion powder, oregano, and thyme in a small bowl.
Cut the tofu into slices or cubes. Whichever you prefer. I like to cut my tofu into 8 thin rectangular slices.
One slice of tofu at a time, press the slice into the spice blend and make sure both sides are covered.
Heat a frying pan with oil on medium heat. Cook the tofu until browned and flip to cook both sides. This will take about 5 minutes each side.
While the tofu is cooking, mix the orange marmalade and lime juice in a bowl. Once the tofu is done cooking turn off the heat and pour the orange marmalade mix on top of the tofu. You'll want each side on the tofu covered in the orange marmalade.
Serve with rice or quinoa and some veggies. This recipe goes well with many combinations of food.
